Hey, You! You're Magnificent, And You Are Loved by Sheryl Paul

Human beings are amazing. We invent vehicles that can travel to the moon. We create beautiful gardens and multi-story buildings. We discover cures to illnesses and have learned how to fly like birds. We sing songs, dance, and paint.

But, contrary to the cultural message, we're not amazing because of what we do but because of who we are. Each one of you is a spark of love that extends beyond the boundaries of your human body. You come from love and you'll return to love. And it's this love that, when listened and tended to, informs your creative actions. It's the love that powers the creativity that leads to innovation.

In the beginning, we know this. We're born with complete knowledge of the love that we are. But then, because of the wounds of our caregivers, our medical and educational systems, and the culture at large, we forget. Their wounds are a result of their own forgotten magnificence, which then leads them to create systems and styles based on fear and control. The erroneous and damaging beliefs we form about ourselves are handed down inter-generationally: I'm not enough. There's something wrong with me. I'm broken. I'm unlovable.

In her beautiful book, Dying to be Me, Anita Moorjani writes:
"Our true magnificence exists right now!
"Only when we love ourselves unconditionally, accepting ourselves as the magnificent creatures we are with great respect and compassion, can we ever hope to offer the same to anyone else. Cherishing the self comes first, and caring for others is the inevitable outcome."

When I'm sitting with clients, I'm not interested in what they do for a living; in fact, most times I don't even ask unless it naturally arises in the course of the conversation. I'm interested in who they are, their intrinsic and inviolable qualities that are unchanging and unchangeable: their kindness, their humor, their depth of soul, the images that arise from their dreams and unconscious, their sadness and joy, their experience of being alive.

Over time and held within the container of compassion, they, too begin to see their intrinsic wholeness and have a direct experience that there's nothing broken, nothing "wrong," nothing disordered, nothing that needs to be fixed or changed. In fact, it's only when we truly accept ourselves as we are that a natural and organic change can arise. We change not to "get better" but to return to who we were all along.

Likewise, when I look at my children, I don't place conditions on my loving. I love them not because of anything they will do or one day achieve, not because of the way they look, play, share or not share, not for being "good boys," which means conforming and squeezing themselves into the social and cultural expectations of desired behavior - but because of who they are.

I love you because I love you, I often say to them. They know that they don't need to prove themselves or earn my love, and within this container of acceptance and attunement, they have the freedom to be the intrinsically thoughtful, kind, creative, expressive beings that they naturally are.

This is true for all human beings.
You are worthy not because of what you do but because of who are you.
You are good at your core.
You are born whole and are still whole.
You are loved.

When you first excavate and then shed the lies that you've absorbed and believed about yourself, you will remember who are you, and from that place of true self-love you will remember why you're here. This is the most important work you can do, not only for yourself, your relationships, and your community, but for the entire planet. It's time to remember who are you are.

A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly.

"A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.”

Our Deepest Fear by Marianne Williamson

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

"How do you start your day?" by Louise L. Hay

How do you start your day? When you first wake up in the morning, what are the first words that come out of your mouth? Do you complain? Do you worry about the day ahead of you? Do you think about what’s not working in your life?

How we start our day is often how we live our lives.

What do you say when you first look in the bathroom mirror? What do you say when you take a shower? What do you say
when you get dressed? How do you leave your house for work? Do you just run out or do you say something nice. And what do you do when you get into the car. Do you slam the door and growl that you have to go to work?

I would like you to start your day tomorrow with an affirmation. When you first wake up and open your eyes, here are some affirmations you can say:

Good morning, bed. Thank you for being so comfortable, I love you.

Darling (your name), this will be a blessed day.

I am a gift to the world.

There are great experiences coming my way today.

Life loves me!

And when you get up and look in the bathroom mirror, I’d like you to say these affirmations:

Good morning Darling. I love you.

We are having a great day today.

You are a magnet for miracles.

You have time for everything you need to do.

You look great today.

An affirmation is a beginning point. It opens the way. You are saying to your subconscious mind: I am taking responsibility. I am aware that there is something I can do to change.

If you continue to say the affirmation, either you will be ready to let whatever it is go, and the affirmation will become true; or it will open a new avenue to you.

Open your eyes. Open the door. Take the first step. Say these affirmations tomorrow morning. Say them for the entire week. See how you can change your life by a single thought.

Let’s affirm: Every thought I think is creating my future.

EXERCISE: What am I thinking right now?

What are you thinking right now? Would you like that thought to create your life? If not, change it right now! Start thinking about something you would like to see and experience in you life. And put a big smile on your face. Because it's going to happen! :)

The rest of my life is the best of my life!

Life is meant to be fun! (+ tip how to deal with those who tells you otherwise :) )

Svi zaslužujemo ljubav i podršku.

You're your problem and you're also your solution

22 Things Happy People Do Differently

Yes, you are! :)

I want you to stop gathering information from the outside and start gathering it from the inside

Socrates: Everyone wants to tell you what to do and what's good for you. They don't want you to find your own answers, they want you to believe theirs.
Dan Millman: Let me guess, and you want me to believe yours.
Socrates: No, I want you to stop gathering information from the outside and start gathering it from the inside.

...don't let 'em stop you from smiling :)

Just keep trying and trying, it's just a matter of timing. Though the grinding is tiring -don't let 'em stop you from smiling. Just keep trying and trying, sooner or later you'll find it. It's surprising how inspiring it is to see you shining. Cause in the dark of the night you're all i can see and you sure look like a star to me!

We are extraordinary, different, wonderful people!

"When you make a decision at the right time in the right place… the Universe makes it happen for you. [...] Do you know how much of us pretend to be somebody that we’re not? And you know what, when you really believe in yourself and everything about you, it’s extraordinary what happens.! [...] We are extraordinary, different, wonderful people."

You are more beautiful than you think.
